WHO WE ARE
<Silly Hats Only> is a late night 25 man raiding guild. Our core raiders consists of mature adults and working adults who can not raid at other times. We offer a fair, friendly, mature, and progressive raiding environment. If you like to cause drama or have tendencies to go emo alot, we are probably not for you. We value the person at the keyboard versus the individual character. We also value team work, cooperation and a will to do better.

We view mature as being self reliant, self aware, open minded, honest and respectful. We are not looking to tell folks how to do something or to repeatedly tell folks what to do. We expect everyone to be responsible for their own actions or lack of action and improve when necessary. We are not here to baby you or you to baby us but we do tend to cater to the majority and what works for the guild as a whole. If you can't go out on your own and spend time doing research or gather information you need to succeed, then you will find yourself having a hard time here.

We like to keep a tight roster with a very small overlap so we do look for at least 80% attendance during our raid nights. We understand that sometimes people need to go on vacation with the family or need to work late, that is fine and perfectly understandable. We understand that life and schedules can be unpredictable. The more we know the more we can be understanding. However unexplained lapses in attendance are irresponsible, disrespectful and unacceptable.

For historical reasons the guild have a lasse-faire approach toward 10s, 10s are maintained by our player base with their own schedules, leaders, rules and recruitment mechanisms. The guild and officers will not interfere with how 10s are ran.

GUILD BENEFITS:
Besides the obvious of raiding with the guild and others of like minds.

We offer to each raiding member:
1 enchant per item slot per Tier content using Guild enchanting mats

Unless we are reserving/saving gold for a specific reason, each raiding member will be awarded a monthly dividend based on guild income at the beginning of each month based on their participation/attendance. We do this in lieu of guild repairs. We do not believe the guild should be a crutch for folks to lean on, there are actions each of us must make in order to continue raiding such as repairs and consumables. This monthly dividend is a "bonus" that will vary depending on income levels and future plans for the gold.

Items in the bank are available for sale at 50% of current AH prices (exceptions exist).

WHEN WE RAID:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday @ 10:00 PM PST to 1 AM PST (Server Time)

We are progression oriented despite our short raid schedule. Do not take a short raid schedule to mean casual in any sense of the word.

Invites go out at 09:50PM. OnTime DKP tick is taken at 10:00pm

HOW WE HANDLE LOOT
<Silly Hats Only> uses DKP and an open bid system for distributing loot. We expect each raider to know the detailed DKP information found here.

We reserve the right to loot council offspec gear.

RECRUITMENT INFORMATION:
All recruits go through a trial period. This trial period lasts until they meet the attendance requirements, this means after 7 consecutive raid nights. During the trial period, you may be on the bench for our regulars for new content. But if you are in the raid, you will be eligible for loot as defined by our DKP system.

During the trial period, recruits will be evaluated on:
  • Fitting in. (communication, personality, attitude, etc)
  • Raid performance.
  • Raid awareness.
  • Raid readiness (being prepared).
  • Ability to take/follow directions.

It is expected for the recruit to pick up information regarding raiding on their own vs having us spoon feed information to them. There are a few stickied threads that should be reviewed when accepted for trial (15 minutes reading). If unsure, take the initiative and ask.

We will consider any exceptional players despite current needs.
